Snowbirds are a constant in Florida at this time of year, regardless of your feelings about them. However, even these seasonal inhabitants need suggestions for reasonably priced venues to unwind.
Florida was ranked as the most affordable destination in the United States by vacation rental service HomeToGo, which analyzed data on house prices.
“Are you dreaming of Caribbean climates and balmy temperatures? Snowbirds in the United States are trading their snow shovels for sunny beaches as the coldest season has come in most of North America. However, where can they find warm weather without breaking the bank? HomeToGo is a writer.
Which town offers the best deals for snowbirds looking to hide out?
Englewood, a census-designated community in Charlotte and Sarasota counties near the Gulf of America (now known as the Gulf of Mexico), takes first place. In the winter, the average high temperature is a refreshing 75 degrees.
“With temps as high as the low 70s, Englewood provides a sun-filled haven when winter strikes. The Gulf Coast is the ideal place to escape the cold because of its gentle beaches and peaceful, clean waters.
Snowbirds can enjoy Florida’s weather and culture without going over budget thanks to its median nightly vacation-home price of $64 per person.
According to the travel magazine Travel + Leisure, Englewood is home to Oyster Creek Regional Park, where a boardwalk winds through tidal mangroves and offers birdwatching opportunities, and Cedar Point Environmental Park along Lemon Bay, which is primarily covered in pine flatwoods.
